Hexham Squash Club has a very successful junior section with over fifty juniors participating. The main group sessions are held on Saturday afternoons in the autumn and spring terms, with juniors ranging from 7 to 17 years. In addition, coaching sessions at other times can be arranged with one of our 4 experienced coaches: sessions can cater for groups or individuals and can be tailored to individual needs.
A thriving junior league runs for juniors of all ability.
Junior events run throughout the year:
- The Dave Barnett Event sees the local squash star spend a day with our juniors, and finishes off with a sausage and chips supper
- The Dave Cave Memorial Tournament splits the juniors into mixed age and ability teams competing for a trophy, and finishes with a quiz night and supper
- Internal competitions round off each term
